This isn't a sticker somebody slapped on a pair of headphones after the fact. The Megadeth edition is an official, licensed collaboration with the band. The mark, the logo and the colour scheme were properly designed for the headphones, not just smacked onto the cup. The voice prompts. That "power on", "Bluetooth connected" and everything else the headphones say. Are recorded by Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine himself. Every time you put the headphones on, a living legend of thrash metal speaks directly into your ear. Which makes these the only real headphones for a metal fan. Fifty hours. That's two solid days of nonstop listening. You can fly from Helsinki to Tokyo, sleep through the hotel silence and fly back without plugging in once. If you're a normal person who isn't flying to Tokyo, it'll easily last you a week. Charge it on Sunday and you won't need the cable again until next weekend. Or later, if you forget.

Hybrid ANC means there are microphones both inside and outside the earcup. They listen to what's going on around you and create a counter-sound that cancels the noise. Not that you need to know how it works. All you need to know is that open-plan office chatter, airplane drone and your neighbour's renovation vanish into thin air.

We tested the fit with an honest method: Henri with his glasses on, Jani with his lumpy bald head, and Henri's wife with her small head. The memory-foam pads spread the pressure evenly and the adjustable headband finds the right position. If headphones start to press or pinch after an hour, they don't fit. Valcos don't pinch.

The built-in mic handles meetings and calls. It's not the best microphone in the world, but it's good enough that the person on the other end hears you and not the background noise. If talking is your actual job, buy a proper wired mic.

Bluetooth multipoint means the headphones are connected to your phone and your laptop at the same time. A call comes in on the phone, music keeps playing from the laptop. No re-pairing, no headaches. If you want zero-latency for gaming, use the AUX cable that comes in the box.

Good headphones cost a lot because they have good components inside. We skipped the celebrity endorsement deals and the airport-shop markups. You're paying for the headphones, not the marketing.

The covers snap off magnetically. A new colour or material clicks on in a second. No screws, no tools, no YouTube teardown video. This is one of those features you don't appreciate until you've owned headphones that didn't have it.
